Cynde Morris

Cynde Morris has always had a passion to draw and paint. But it wasn't until her fourth child graduated from high school that she had the opportunity to return to college and earn her Studio Art Degree, studying under the resident artist, Stephen Cefalo of New York.

Later, she taught at Bluffton High School for four years inspiring young artists to achieve their dreams earning scholarship opportunities through competitions in Scholastic Art Awards, Bluffton SOBA, High School Regional Art Competition and Beaufort Memorial Bluffton Art Competition.

After retiring in 2026, Cynde decided to dive into developing her own style of creating realistic images with a touch of painterly impressionism. Studying with artist, Daniel Gerhartz as her guide, she has created the body of work represented here. Most of her work is developed from using her own photos as inspiration as she captures those "ah-ha" moments in the landscapes around her in the beautiful lowcountry where she resides and also from her travels.

Recently, she was commissioned to paint a nebula which has rekindled her love for the explosions of color found in space. 

Her desire is for her paintings to inspire viewers to experience their own enlivening "ah-ha" moments of the beautiful creation of nature all around us.
